In Italy, the Allies finally overcome Monte Cassino and break through the Gustav Line; in Burma Merrills Marauders surprise the Japanese and take Myitkyina Airfield; in China, its the Japanese who are playing offense, as Operation Ichi Go and the siege of Luoyang continue. Thats the field action, but theres big planning behind the scenes for major June offensives going on by both the Western Allies and the Soviets.
