Sky Italia - MTV Classic and MTV Dance has shut down in Italy (01. 08. 2015)00:01:00

Subscribers to the Italian Sky platform can watch a new channel from the MTV family starting August 1st MTV Next has launched in SD and HD. However, MTV Classic and MTV Dance have also been removed from the lineup. Meanwhile, the club sports channels J | Juventus TV and Roma TV have moved up the list and become part of the Sky Sport and Sky Calcio packages.

The MTV Next schedule isnt yet posted on the operators homepage, but based on the EPG, the broadcast didnt start out unusually, with two episodes of Teen Mom and then Plain Jane.

Subscribers also said goodbye to the MTV Classic (705 on set-top boxes) and MTV Dance (707). An information board is now broadcasting in their place (the same frequency as MTV Next in SD).

Club football channels have moved up the list. J | Juventus TV has been moved to channel 212 (previously 231), and Roma TV to channel 213 (previously 234). The channels have been moved to the Sky Sport and Sky Calcio packages.

Update: The Sky homepage has updated its schedule, revealing that MTV Next, a channel primarily featuring series, is currently in position 133 on the operators set-top boxes.
