Hero Quest is a turn-based strategy video game developed and published by Gremlin Graphics Limited in 1991. It is closely based on the Hasbro Bradley/Games Workshop board game of the same name and has been published on various personal computer platforms. It is set in Games Workshop's fictional fantasy world Warhammer Fantasy.

The player guides four different archetypical characters, a barbarian, an elf, a dwarf and a wizard; through various dungeons in an effort to escape. There are 14 different quests available for the player to choose from and can be played in any desired sequence. In between each quest, the player has the opportunity to purchase new weapons with treasure found within the quests, providing the player with additional advantages before beginning the next quest and may also provide a sense of continuity between the quests.

Gremlin published one expansion for Hero Quest entitled Hero Quest: Return of the Witch Lord shortly after the game was released. The expansion provides an additional ten quests to choose from, which are more difficult than those found in the original game.

In 1994, Gremlin published a sequel to Hero Quest entitled Hero Quest II: Legacy of Sorasil. It was released for the Commodore Amiga and Amiga CD32 platforms. The gameplay of Legacy of Sorasil remained similar to its predecessor as they both used the same game engine. The sequel expanded the game to include outdoor environments and multi-level dungeons.
