More than two thousand tons of pig iron spilled on the Ukrainian plant Azovstal. Currently, a specially created commission is investigating the causes of the accident.
The incident occurred on July 12, when the mixer of the converter shop was burned. Burning metal poured into the gap. Both the workers of the enterprise and the firemen admitted to the factory territory fought against the consequences of the accident.
Local publications report that no one was injured as a result of the incident.
Azovstal is the largest metallurgical enterprise in Ukraine, which has the capacity to produce up to 5.7 million tons of pig iron per year.
