Directors Statement: The movie Without Flesh or Voice was born from an idea: to bring together the three worlds that fascinate me photography, cinema, and poetry into a single work. I decided to expand on a photographic series featuring a little ghost (the kind we used to draw as children) placed in absurd situations within vast landscapes. Early 2025, I was deeply affected by the Pélicot affair and by the uprisings of Afghan women, oppressed by their government. I was determined to speak out for the oppressed, for those whom society seeks to render invisible or mute, and this ghost became the vehicle for my message. In Without Flesh or Voice, the specter personifies human transparency an otherness that is very much present yet ignored everywhere, since the established order has decided it does not deserve societys attention, where norms are often exclusionary and power is held by a minority. The poetic text, which I recite in voice-over, lends weight to the words, which can be used as a lever to break the silence and indifference.
