In this episode of Kult America, we explore my first impressions of the middle eastern country of Qatar. Having spent 4 days in Doha, I found that as is the case in most places people are people. Though there are some cultural differences I couldn’t accept, I enjoyed the good food, amazing tea, exotic sights, and mostly friendly encounters with locals. What did surprise me however, was how indifferent people were towards us as tourist, I was not approached or harassed by anyone. On a final thought, Qatar is an extremely rich country and most probably should not be taken as a generalised summary of the middle east.
